Solamente son causales de recompensa:

Muerte recibida en el campo de batalla u otra acción de guerra, o al desempeñar alguna función del servicio, o a manos de enemigos armados contra la Patria o el Gobierno legítimo, y la muerte posterior causada por heridas recibidas en cualquiera de estos casos; y

2º acción distinguida de valor.
