De acuerdo con lo establecido en la Ley 121 de 1938, queda terminantemente prohibido edificar en terrenos de bajamar, en el área urbana de Tumaco. Las autoridades de Policía y el Ministerio de Obras Públicas vigilarán el cumplimiento de esta prohibición e impondrán las sanciones del caso.
