PRESTACIONES DE LAS ASOCIACIONES MUTUALES. Son prestaciones mutuales los servicios que otorguen las Asociaciones Mutuales para la satisfacción de necesidades de los asociados, mediante asistencia médica, farmacéutica, funeraria, subsidios, ahorro y crédito y actividades culturales, educativas, deportivas o turísticas, así como cualquier otra prestación dentro del ámbito de la seguridad social que tenga por fin la promoción y dignificación de la persona humana.

Parágrafo

Las Asociaciones Mutuales prestarán sus servicios preferencialmente a los asociados y a sus beneficiarios cuando lo contemplen sus estatutos. De acuerdo con éstos podrán extenderlos al público no afiliado, siempre en razón del interés social o del bienestar colectivo.
