Por cuenta del Tesoro Nacional se erigirá un busto en mármol del General Camargo, en el Parque de la Independencia de la ciudad capital y sendos retratos al óleo suyos serán situados en un salón del Senado y en el del Concejo Municipal de Iza, lugar de nacimiento del eminente compatriota.
En el pedestal de busto se pondrá la siguiente inscripción:
"El Congreso de Colombia al señor General Sergio Camargo."
