No habrá lugar a cancelar la beca por falta de asistencia durante un mes o más, si el becado comprueba ante el Consejo, enfermedad que le haya impedido concurrir; en este caso, el favorecido seguirá disfrutando de la beca, sea que haya aprobado los cursos en que se había matriculado o que en el año siguiente los repita.
