La facultad de ordenar los gastos de la Registraduría Nacional del Estado Civil corresponde al Registrador Nacional, quien podrá delegar tal facultad en sus delegados y en los Registradores Distritales hasta la cuantía de un millón de pesos ($ 1.000.000.00), suma que se reajustará cada año en la misma proporción en que aumente el índice de precios al consumidor, certificado por el DANE o la entidad que haga sus veces.
