Articulo 51 . SUSPENSION DE PENA POR ENFERMEDAD MENTAL. Si pronunciada la sentencia sobreviniere al condenado enfermedad mental, se suspenderá la ejecución de la pena privativa de la libertad y se le enviará a establecimiento especial, anexo psiquiátrico o clínica adecuada. Cuando el condenado recobrare la salud, continuará cumpliendo la pena en el lugar respectivo, debiéndose abonar el tiempo que hubiere permanecido en cualquiera de los establecimientos a que se refiere el inciso anterior como parte cumplida de la pena.
