ARTICULO 3.1.1.0.2 .- RESTRICCIÓN AL ASEGURAMIENTO EN EL EXTERIOR. Cuando se tomen seguros sobre los barcos, aeronaves y vehículos matriculados en el país y los bienes situados en territorio colombiano, éstos deberán contratarse con compañías legalmente establecidas en Colombia o con entidades aseguradoras del exterior previa autorización que, por razones de interés general, imparta la Superintendencia Bancaria. Al mismo principio estará sujeto el aseguramiento de los residentes en el país, en cuanto a sus personas o sus responsabilidades, salvo que se encuentren en viaje internacional y sólo por el período de duración de dicho viaje.
