Trámite y atención de nuevas solicitudes de protección . A partir de la vigencia del presente Decreto, las solicitudes de protección que efectúen los nuevos servidores públicos de elección popular, que conforme con lo señalado en el artículo 5°, forman parte de la población objeto de la Policía Nacional, serán atendidas por dicha entidad.
