En desarrollo de la política migratoria laboral y para efectos de la protección de la mano de obra nacional la División de Visas del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, cuando lo estime conveniente, consultará a la Dirección General del Servicio Nacional de Empleo del Ministerio de Trabajo y Seguridad Social sobre la conveniencia de autorizar a extranjeros el ejercicio de una profesión, ocupación u oficio en el país.
