Artículo tercero. En desarrollo del propósito de la Ley, el Ministerio de Salud Publico asignara anualmente a cada una de sus Secretarias o Direcciones Seccionales, el número de cargos que le corresponde atender para Servicio Médico Obligatorio, teniendo en cuenta necesidades y recursos. El total de placas para este fin, deberá corresponder al número de médicos graduados que necesiten cumplir con este requisito legal.

Parágrafo

En caso de que el número de plazas seleccionadas para el Servicio de Médico Obligatorio fuera insuficiente, el Ministerio de Salud, de acuerdo con sus Seccionales, habilitará las que sean necesarias para satisfacer la demanda.
