El Consejo Metropolitano de Planificación sesionará ordinariamente por lo menos una (1) vez al mes y extraordinariamente cuando lo convoque la Junta Metropolitana, el Alcalde Metropolitano, el Gerente o la tercera parte de sus miembros.

En todos aquellos casos en que lo considere conveniente o necesario, el Consejo Metropolitano de Planificación podrá invitar a personas pertenecientes al sector público o privado para que asistan a sesiones.
