Dirección General Marítima-DIMAR . La Dirección General Marítima - DIMAR-es una dependencia interna del Ministerio de Defensa Nacional, con autonomía administrativa y financiera, sin personería jurídica, de conformidad con lo dispuesto en el artículo 54, literal j) de la Ley 489 de 1998, Y le corresponde, de acuerdo con las directrices impartidas por el Ministro de Defensa, ejercer las funciones señaladas en la ley, en coordinación con la Armada Nacional, tal como está previsto en el artículo 30 del Decreto 1512 de 2000. La Dirección General Marítima -DIMAR, continuará con la estructura administrativa y las funciones definidas en el Decreto 5057 de 2009 y demás normas que gobiernan su funcionamiento.
