Responsable del pago. La indemnización por gastos de transporte será cubierta por

La compañía de seguros cuando se trate de un accidente de tránsito en el que el vehículo involucrado esté amparado por una póliza de SOAT;

La Subcuenta ECAT del Fosyga cuando se trate de un accidente de tránsito ocasionado por un vehículo no identificado, un vehículo sin póliza de SOAT, un evento catastrófico de origen natural, un evento terrorista u otro evento aprobado por el Ministerio de Salud y Protección Social en su calidad de Consejo de Administración del Fosyga. (Artículo 23 del Decreto 56 de 2015)
