La producción futura no podrá ser objeto del contrato regulado por este capítulo, salvo cuando se trate de comprometer la producción de un máximo de cinco obras del mismo género de la que es objeto del contrato, durante un término que no podrá ser mayor al de cinco años desde la fecha del mismo. Será nula toda estipulación en virtud de la cual el autor comprometa en forma general o indeterminada su producción futura, o se obligue a restringirla o a no producir.
