Las instituciones de educación superior podrán estructurar sus programas de especialización, maestría y doctorado de manera autónoma y en su organización curricular podrán tener en cuenta las competencias y créditos adquiridos en los diferentes niveles formativos que ofrecen. Así mismo, podrán reconocer las competencias y créditos adquiridos en otros programas ofrecidos por instituciones de educación superior nacionales o extranjeras, debidamente reconocidas.
