A partir de 1959 se apropiara en los Presupuestos Nacionales una suma básica de seis millones de pesos ($6.000.000.00) para la Universidad Pedagógica, que se irá ampliando en vigencias sucesivas proporcionalmente al aumento progresivo en el presupuesto del Ministerio de Educación Nacional.
