Por regla general, en los juicios hay dos grados o instancias. La primera, que se ejerce desde que se inicia hasta que, decida en definitiva por el inferior, se remita el expediente al superior, por apelación o consulta; y la segunda, que se ejerce desde que se reciba el expediente por el superior hasta que, resuelta la apelación o consulta, se devuelva el expediente al inferior.
