Decreto 1456 de 1969 · por el cual se aprueban los estatutos del Instituto Nacional de Cancerología y se adscriben al mismo unas funciones.

Artículo segundo. El Instituto cumplirá las funciones que están adscritas en la actualidad al Comité Nacional de Lucha contra el Cáncer. Sin embargo el Comité continuará funcionando como órgano consultivo del Instituto para el mejor cumplimiento de las funciones que a éste corresponden.

Parágrafo

Para el cumplimiento de las nuevas funciones adscritas al Instituto se entregará a éste el aporte presupuestal del año en curso que para funcionamiento del comité se había destinado en el presupuesto de la actual vigencia.
