Para la prestación del servicio de Policía cada Departamento se dividirá en Distritos, cada Distrito en Estaciones y cada Estación en Subestaciones y Puestos. Los Departamentos tendrán el número de Oficiales, Suboficiales y Agentes que fije la Dirección General de la Policía, dentro de la planta que determina el Gobierno. En cada Distrito Judicial habrá un Distrito de Policía que tendrá la misma cabecera de aquel, a menos que las exigencias del servicio impongan otra distribución.
