Modifícase el numeral 1 del artículo 13 del Decreto 2206 de 1998, el cual quedará así:

Se deberá ofrecer una garantía adecuada a ahorradores y depositantes de buena fe, dentro de los topes que señale la junta directiva. En todo caso, la cobertura deberá tomar en cuenta la distribución del tamaño de los depósitos de las entidades cooperativas con el fin de atender prioritariamente a los pequeños depositantes y ahorradores. La cobertura podrá ser diferente para las cooperativas financieras, las Cooperativas de Ahorro y Crédito y las cooperativas multiactivas con sección de ahorro y crédito.
