Desde el 1º de enero de 1928 el Ministerio de Instrucción y Salubridad Publicas s llamaran Ministerio de Educación Nacional. Las funciones relativas a lazaretos quedan adscritas a la Dirección Nacional de Lazaretos, y las respectivas a salubridad e higiene públicas quedan adscritas a la Dirección Nacional de Higiene y Asistencia Públicas.
