La votación se efectuará el día 18 de noviembre de 2008, a partir de las ocho de la mañana (8:00 a. m.) y hasta las cinco de la tarde (5:00 p. m.), mediante: a) telegrama; b) fax; c) correo electrónico (siempre y cuando esté registrado en el grupo de comunicaciones), o d) personalmente en las instalaciones de la Superintendencia de Notariado y Registro, Despacho del Superintendente, donde podrán depositar el voto en el que se indicará el nombre del candidato con su respectivo suplente.
