La Dirección del Ministerio y del Sector Administrativo de la Educación corresponde al Ministro, quien la ejercerá directamente con la inmediata colaboración del Viceministro de Educación. El Ministro de Educación Nacional constituye, junto con el Presidente de la República, el Gobierno, en cuanto a los negocios que le sean asignados por la ley o los que le sean atribuidos administrativamente.
