La presente ley tiene por objeto modificar la Ley 912 de 2004, con el propósito de instaurar el 28 de octubre como el Día Nacional del Deportista Colombiano, como una fecha en la cual se conmemora y reconoce a las grandes glorias del deporte que le han dado felicidad y esperanza al país y a las nuevas generaciones de deportistas nacionales.
