Modifícase el literal a) del numeral 5 del artículo 337 del Estatuto Orgánico del Sistema Financiero, el cual quedará así:

"a) Causación. La contribución impuesta a las entidades vigiladas a que se refiere el presente artículo se causará el primer día calendario de los meses de enero y julio de cada año. Si una entidad no permanece bajo vigilancia durante todo el semestre respectivo, pagará la contribución proporcionalmente por el tiempo que haya estado bajo vigilancia. Si por el hecho de que alguna entidad no permanezca bajo vigilancia durante todo el semestre respectivo se genera algún defecto presupuestal que requiera subsanarse, la Superintendencia podrá liquidar y exigir a las vigiladas el monto respectivo en cualquier tiempo durante el semestre correspondiente."
