Sin embargo de efectuarse la compensación por ministerio de la ley, el deudor que no la alegare, ignorando un crédito que puede oponer a la deuda, conservará junto con el crédito mismo las fianzas, privilejios, prendas e hipotecas constituidas para su seguridad.
