La hemoglubinuria, la anemia, la debilidad y otros síntomas de infección aguda por protozoos en la sangre, imponen el decomiso total de la canal y las vísceras. Cuando no se presente ictericia y el estado general del animal no sea demasiado grave, a juicio del Médico Veterinario Inspector podrá optarse por su destino para carne industrial o por un decomiso parcial.
