Categorías Profesor Policial. El personal docente policial con título universitario, técnico o tecnológico según el caso y que al 13 de enero de 2005 (entrada en vigencia del Decreto 003 de 2005) se hallare escalafonado como docente policial en cualquiera de las categorías contempladas en el Decreto 400 del 5 de marzo de 1992, podrá solicitar su homologación ante el Director General de la Policía Nacional, según su categoría así:

Profesor Policial de Quinta Categoría a Instructor.

Profesor Policial de Cuarta Categoría a Profesor Auxiliar.

Profesor Policial de Tercera Categoría a Profesor Asistente.

Profesor Policial de Segunda Categoría a Profesor Asociado.

Profesor Policial de Primera Categoría a Profesor Titulado.
