Las funciones del Consejo Asesor de Radioafición son entre otras las siguientes

Velar por el estricto cumplimiento del presente Decreto y el buen uso de las bandas atribuidas al servicio de aficionados y aficionados por satélite.

Informar sobre las infracciones cometidas por los radioaficionados al presente Decreto.

Estudiar la reglamentación de las normas nacionales e internacionales en el campo de la radioafición.

Revisar las tarjetas de QSL presentadas por les radioaficionados para los respectivos ascensos de categoría.

Conceptuar acerca del otorgamiento de menciones honoríficas o condecoraciones de acuerdo con el artículo 47 del presente Decreto. CAPITULO VIII. Disposiciones generales.
