Art. 1º El periodo de duración de los Notarios y Registradores es de 5 años contados desde el 1º de enero siguiente á su elección.

Esta disposición principiará á regir respecto a los Notarios y Registradores que siendo nombrados conforme á las disposiciones legales que actualmente rigen, comiencen á ejercer sus funciones del 1º de enero de 1890 en adelante.
