Artículo único. A partir de la fecha del presente Decreto, los funcionarios remunerados del servicio diplomático y consular que presenten renuncia de sus cargos, sólo tendrán derecho al pago de viáticos de regreso después de haber desempeñado por un período no menor de seis meses las funciones para las cuales hayan sido nombrados.

Parágrafo

Exceptúense los casos en que por serios motivos de salud, por razones de servicio público o por otras causas el Gobierno juzgue conveniente la fijación y pago de viáticos de regreso.
