Cuando el valor conjunto del sueldo y de la pensión de jubilación exceda de mil seiscientos pesos ($ 1.600) mensuales, el beneficiado deberá renunciar a favor de la Caja de Previsión Social a cuyo cargo está el pago de la jubilación, o si ésta no existiere, a favor del Tesoro Oficial que pague la pensión, la cantidad que sobrepase dicho límite, en forma que pueda cobrar conjuntamente hasta la cantidad de mil seiscientos pesos ($ 1.600) mensuales.
