ARTICULO 40 . Evaluación de la trayectoria profesional. Tienen derecho a presentar exámenes de admisión para ingresar al curso de que trata el artículo anterior, los oficiales en el grado de mayor, seleccionados con base en su trayectoria profesional, evaluación que debe realizar el Comité de Ascenso de oficiales superiores, con la aprobación de la Junta Asesora de la Dirección General de la Policía Nacional.
