Un instrumentó negociado se descarga:

1° Por pago en debida forma hecho por el principal deudor o a su nombre;

2° Por pago en debida forma hecho por la parte acomodada, sí fuere el caso;

3' Por la cancelación, intencional del tenedor;

4° Por cualquiera otro acto que extinga un contrato por pago de dinero;

5°Cuando el principal deudor viene a ser el tenedor del instrumento al vencimiento de éste o después en su propio nombre.
