Definición. Para efectos del presente Decreto, se entenderá por servicio de vigilancia y seguridad privada, las actividades que desarrollen las personas naturales o jurídicas de derecho público o privado, en beneficio propio o de terceros, tendiente a prevenir o detener perturbaciones a la seguridad y tranquilidad individual en aras de un orden justo en lo relacionado con la vida, honra y bienes propios o de terceros.
