º Las carrocerías, los vehículos automotores, remolques y semirremolques que se fabriquen o ensamblen en el país o se importen, deberán cumplir con los requisitos establecidos al respecto por el Instituto Nacional de Transporte y Tránsito, tales como características técnicas y homologación, a más de los exigidos por el Decreto 1344 de 1970 o la norma que lo modifique o sustituya, como son las condiciones mecánicas, de seguridad y de comodidad.
