Las funciones de Polícia Judicial que la Constitución Política le atribuye a la Procuraduría General de la Nación serán ejercidas por los funcionarios que adelanten indagaciones preliminares o investigaciones disciplinarias sólo cuando sean necesarias y conducentes para esos fines.
