ARTICULO 16 . La libreta de embarco por su parte, acredita, además de los períodos de embarco del tripulante y los cargos desempeñados a bordo, la aptitud física del titular en los términos señalados por la Ley 35 de 1981, y/o el presente Decreto, en particular en lo referente a la vista y el oído y en algunos casos el habla, siendo a su vez obligatoria para toda la Gente de Mar del transporte marítimo a que se refiere la presente Parte, con excepción de quienes efectúen embarco de enfrentamiento bajo cualquier condición, como supernumerario a bordo, y de los auxiliares de marinería a que se refiere el artículo 6, numeral 31.
