Recolección de información para el diseño regulatorio. Las entidades responsables del diseño regulatorio propenderán enriquecer las fuentes de información que contribuyan al diseño de la regulación. Para tal fin podrán tener en cuenta, entre otros, información institucional de carácter técnica, económica y financiera, proveniente de la operación de los agentes regulados u otras autoridades o entidades públicas y privadas que administren datos relevantes, sin contrariar los parámetros establecidos en las normas en materia de protección de datos, secreto empresarial e información pública.
