ARTÍCULO OCTAVO . F ortalecimiento de la Seguridad Marítima Integral. El Gobierno Nacional establecerá acciones encaminadas al fortalecimiento de la Seguridad Marítima Integral especialmente en lo relacionado con la protección de buques e instalaciones portuarias, tendientes a promover el comercio exterior, la facilitación del transporte y la competitividad del país, de conformidad con la normatividad marítima vigente y los convenios internacionales ratificados por Colombia.
