Quien fuere aceptado como Jefe de Servicio o de División Clínico-investigativa, o profesor asociado, o catedrático asociado, será nominado inicialmente por un período de tres años. Transcurridos éstos, el nombramiento podrá ser renovado por períodos de igual duración. La titularidad en estos cargos se adquirirá a los cinco años de desempeñarlos.
