Son deberes del Jefe de Límites:

1° Coadyuvar a las labores de la Comisión Asesora y de la Oficina de Longitudes por medio de la preparación de memorándums y monografías sobre las comarcas fronterizas de la República, y, en general, sobre la geografía física del país, allegando para el efecto los elementos necesarios;

2° La guarda y conveniente distribución de los útiles del escritorio del Ministerio, y los pedidos de esos útiles a la oficina respectiva,

3° Desempeñar las funciones de Habilitado General del Ministerio.
