ARTICULO 166. Informe administrativo. En los casos de muerte previstos en los artículos 163, 164 y 165 de este Estatuto, las circunstancias de modo, tiempo y lugar en las cuales se sucedieron los hechos serán calificados por los Directores de las dependencias de la Dirección General de la Policía y de las Escuelas de Formación, Comandantes de Departamento y Jefes de Organismos Especiales, de acuerdo con el procedimiento que establezca la Dirección General, la cual queda facultada para modificar la calificación de las circunstancias en las que ocurrieron los hechos.
