Art. 174. En cada Distrito Municipal habrá un Personero Municipal, que residirá en la cabecera de cada Distrito y será nombrado por el Presidente de la República, quien puede delegar esta facultad á los Consejos Municipales.

El período de duración de los Personeros es de un año, que se contará desde el 1º de Enero.
