Las asociaciones de autores tendrán principalmente las siguientes finalidades:

A. Fomentar la producción intelectual de sus socios y el mejoramiento de la cultura nacional.

B. Administrar los derechos económicos de los socios, de acuerdo con sus estatutos;

C. Procurar los mejores beneficios económicos y de seguridad social para sus socios.
