NATURALEZA DEL CARGO: En cada municipio o distrito habrá un alcalde quien ejercerá la autoridad política, será jefe de la administración local y representante legal de la entidad territorial.
El alcalde es la primera autoridad de policía del municipio o distrito y tendrá el carácter de empleado público del mismo.
