Modalidad culposa. El funcionario electoral o el jurado de votación que por culpa diere lugar a que se extravíe, pierda, destruya, altere, inutilice, oculte, sustituya o se sustraiga documento a que se refiere el artículo sobre falsedad electoral, incurrirá en arresto de tres (3) a dieciocho (18) meses.

La misma pena se impondrá al funcionario electoral o al jurado de votación que, por culpa, no entregue oportunamente a la autoridad competente, alguno de los mencionados documentos.
