Art. 1.º El pié de fuerza en tiempo de paz, para el próximo año económico, será hasta de mil hombres de tropa con los respectivos jefes i oficiales.

Esta fuerza será distribuida y situada de la manera i en los puntos que lo estime conveniente el Poder Ejecutivo, avisándolo previamente al Jefe del Estado a que fuere destinada.

Parágrafo

En el caso de que el Gobierno resuelva reemplazar el Resguardo de rentas en todo o en su mayor parte con individuos de la fuerza pública, podrá mantener el pié de ésta hasta el número de mil cuatrocientos veinte hombres de tropa, con sus respectivos jefes i oficiales.
