La relación docente-asistencial es el vínculo para articular en forma armónica las acciones de instituciones educativas e instituciones que presenten servicios de salud para cumplir con su función social, a través de la atención en salud de la comunidad y la formación del recurso humano que se encuentre cursando un programa de pregrado o de postgrado en el área de la salud.
